Comments: The PTs paradigm: dir. *cʷǝ̃, obl. *cʷǝrV-. Cf. PTsKh *cǝ̃,*cǝRo- (reflected, e.g. in Tsez. ci,ciro-), PGB *cɔ̃,*cɔrV- (reflected in Bezht. Khosh. cã,cãra- - although the nasalisation in the oblique base is here secondary). In Bezht. Tl. and Gunz. the oblique base has replaced the direct one. The vowel correlation PTsKh *ǝ : PGB *ɔ points unambiguosly to PTs *ǝ with a preceding labialization.
Comments: The root is attested only in Tsez., in a compound with gulu 'horse, stallion'. It may be a remnant of the EC root for 'horse'; however, it may also be a borrowed morpheme with the meaning 'man' ( < Av. či).
Comments: A rather complicated case. The PTs paradigm must have looked like *čo,*čorV-; the direct base is preserved in Inkh. ču (PTsKh *ču), and the oblique one (having passed to direct) - in Bezht. čoj (PGB *čorV). The Gin. and Khvarsh. forms are results of contaminating this root (PTsKh *ču) with PTsKh *kɔdV 'long hair' q.v.
Comments: PTsKh *čokƛ-; it is interesting to note the coincidence between Tsez. č- and Lezgian forms in *č:-, but the combination -kƛ- is not quite clear (*čɔkƛ- < *čɔƛ-k-, with a secondary reanalysis of *-ƛ- as a verbal suffix?). Cf. perhaps also PGB *č̣aƛ- 'to pour out, scatter' (Bezht. Tlad., Khosh. č̣äƛ-, Gunz. č̣aƛ-) ?
Comments: PTsKh *c̣ɨRu-c̣a ( ~ *c̣üRu-); PGB *c̣aʔa (cf. also Bezht. Khosh. c̣aʔ). In the PTsKh compound (which has an exact match in PGB: *c̣ulu-c̣aʔa > Bezht. c̣uluc̣a, Gunz. Nakh. c̣uluc̣aʔa 'bow') the first component goes back to PTs *c̣ulu B 'arrow' q.v.
Comments: PTsKh *c̣ẽ, obl. *c̣eno- (Inkh. c̣eno-); Gin. nic̣u reflects a metathesised oblique stem (coincidence with nic̣u 'reed' is obviously secondary, because the latter is borrowed from Av. nuc̣:i q.v.).
